Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole  

From the kitchen at Almira



Ingredients:
1ea - 2 lb bag of frozen hash browns thawed 

1 medium onion, chopped finely 
16 ounces sour cream 
2ea - 8 ounces cheddar cheese (shredded)
10 3/4 oz (one small can) Cream of Chicken soup 
1/2 Cup of melted butter (one stick)

Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl combine the butter, cream of chicken soup and sour cream, mix thoroughly,
add onion and 8oz of cheese, mix thoroughly, finally add hash browns and mix thoroughly.

Pour contents from mixing bowl
into a 9 x 13" baking pan and level.

Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven, layer 8 oz cheese on top, uncover and bake
for another 10-15 minutes or until top is golden brown.



Remove from oven and allow to sit for approximately 10 minutes.
