Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 pound (2 sticks) softened real
butter (not margarine)
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3 cups Quaker oats (quick or old
fashioned, uncooked)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350
Mix together and beat butter and
sugars until creamy
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well
Combine and mix flour,baking
soda,cinnamon and salt
Add combined flour,baking
soda,cinnamon and salt, mix well
Stir in oats and chips if chocolate
chips were used, mix well
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto
un-greased cookie sheet
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden
brown
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove
to wire rack
Makes about 4 dozen.
