1st-3rd Clear and warmer for the Rockies into the Great Plains.  4th-7th Fair, dry, and very warm for Rockies and Plains.  8th-11th A few locally heavy thunderstorms over the Northern Rockies and  12th-15th Very warm east into the Great Plains. Threatening skies for baseball’s midsummer classic, the All-Star Game, in St. Louis.  16th-19th Unseasonably chilly for Northern Rockies. Unsettled conditions for the Great Plains east.  20th-23rd Unsettled conditions for the Great Plains east.3rd. Northern Rockies are cool.  24th-27th Warming up and dry.  28th-31st Cooler and drier air again covers the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains after heavy showers.  
 
 

August 2009
1st-3rd Hot, humid weather for the Great Plains. Showery over the Northern Rockies.  4th-7th For the Northern Plains, possible severe thunderstorms, accompanied by downpours and large damaging hail.  8th-11th Generally clear and dry for the region.  12th-15th Light showers for the Northern Rockies and Great Plains.  16th-19th Thunderstorms are widely scattered.  20th-23rd Chilly air enters the Rockies and Plains region by the 23rd.  24th-27th Heavy rain Northern Plains east, then it turns somewhat cooler and drier.  28th-31st More unseasonably chilly air brings more relief, following heavy rain and thunderstorms over the Great Plains.
