Texas Style Chili

From the kitchen at Almira

Ingredients:
4 lbs 85% Ground Beef
56 oz crushed tomatoes 
56 oz diced tomatoes 
5 - 16oz cans "Ranch Style Beans"
Pickled Jalapenos Slices
2 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Garlic salt
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
1 lg Yellow Onion

Instructions:
FYI: Following the method of preparation for this recipe is important if you want it to taste right.

In a separate bowl, combine spices, chili powder, garlic salt, oregano, paprika, and cayenne pepper and set aside.

Chop onion and jalapenos and set aside.

In a 10 quart pot, brown ground beef and add combined spices and mix thoroughly.

Add chopped onion and jalapenos as beef is continuing to brown.  

Allow to simmer for 30 - 45 mins on low to med heat stirring regularly.  

Add :
5 - 15oz containers "Ranch Style Beans"
(The Ranch Style Bean flavor is a part of the flavor of this recipe and
no other bean has the correct flavor of the gravy in these beans.)

Add:
56 oz crushed tomatoes 
56 oz diced tomatoes
 
allow to simmer on low for a minimum of  2 hours.
