Classic Meatloaf
From the kitchen at Almira


Ingredients:

2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
1 cup dried bread crumbs
3 large eggs
1
Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2
tsp salt
1/2
tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
2 Tbsp brown sugar
 

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 
Combine ground beef, onions, ketchup, mustard, bread crumbs, eggs, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire, salt, oregano, and thyme in a large bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands. Be careful not to over mix -- it should be soft but hold its shape. 

Place mixture into a 10-inch by 5-inch bread loaf baking dish, place in oven and bake for approx. 1 hour.


Glaze:
Combine 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tablespoon brown sugar in a small bowl and stir until combined. 


With glaze bake for 60 minutes, remove from oven,
brush the meatloaf with the glaze, return to oven.
Bake an additional 15 min.


Without glaze bake for 75 minutes.
